Bob Relf - Blowing My Mind To Pieces

* Trans-American, 0010-B (1968)

You say that you leave me underneath baby don't need me
But baby you didn't have to do what you've done behind my back
With someone on you who holdin' a kissin'
Just the way we used to love
You say you realized the stretch you made
I keep trying to hear you baby

You're Just Blowin' My Mind To Pieces
(you just ruinin' my mind so more)
You Keep Blowin' My Mind To Pieces
(you got me hurt like never before)

Hey, you gotta stop baby, hanging up now

Girl, I'm gonna have to put you down
'Cause I'm so tired of being messed around
I've told you a long long time ago
You keep blowin' my mind
I'm gonna have to let you go
I give you everything that I have
You just woudn't let me be your man

Blowing My Mind To Pieces
(I've said I've gotta to get me out this place)
Blowing My Mind To Pieces
(I've said I've gotta to get me back in the rain)

Frankie Valli - You're Ready Now

Smash, 2037 - "You're Ready Now" / "Cry For Me" (1966)

When I met you, you were too young
To hang around where the groupies hung
To swing and dance where the swingers swung

You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now...

You grew up fast like over-night
You sure have changed, girl, you're out of sight
You wanna swing and dance all night

You pick up quick, I knew you would
You move and groove just the way you should
You've got that feel, you're learnin' good

Come on near me, come on baby
Do you hear me ? Yes I hear you

You've got it girl, you've got that talk
You've got that wiggle in the way you walk
You've got, I see, what gets to me

You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now...

Velvet Satins - Nothing Can Compare To You

* General American, 006 "Nothing Can Compare To You" / "Up To The Rooftop" (1965)

I can't compare you to the stars,
There's no flowers as pretty as you are,
Way you smile, way you walk, way you laugh & way you talk

Nothing Can Compare To You

Can't compare you to the jewels
If somebody try, it'll be a fool
How you shine your own way, turn my darkness (...) today

Nothing Can Compare To You...

R.I.P Eddie Bo 1930-2009

(Smokey & Eddie)

New Orleans R&B, early funk (one of the precursors like Willie Tee who put the funk into New Orleans map), singer, arranger, producer, pianist, great lyricist too ("You'd better check that spinach / Olive's in the danger zone" "Check Mr. Popeye" 1961)... Eddie Bo passed away and I'm completely screwed.

Dana Valery - You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies

* Columbia, 44004 (1967)

You can hear Paul Simon singing the small part "You don't begin to comprehend".

You don't know that you love me
You don't know but I know that you do
You may think you're above me
What you think isn't always true

Don't try to debate me
You should know that I'm womanly wise
Still you try to manipulate me
You don't know where your interest lies

You don't know where your interest lies
You don't begin to comprehend

You're just a game I like to play
You may think that we're friends all right
But I won't let friendship get in my way
I won't let friendship get in my way

Say something nice to me, don't just say goodbye
If this just has to be, at least won't you tell me why
Before I've break down in front of you & cry like I wanna do

Say something nice to me baby, girl say smething nice to me now
Baby, My Love, I don't want to say goodbye, talk to me

You just can't walk away from all those things we've planned
One minute more, just stay and try to understand
'Cause I don't know baby when I'll see you again to (...) until then

You know I love you girl as long as I've sheltered this
What have I done so bad that you just can't forgive ?
