Love is a dream come true, Love is a girl like you

Love's no limits baby, It's sweet and yet that's heartache
Love is a sound of laugthers of boys & girls make
Sweet love is all around you so love's its own refrain
In love there's so much pleasure and yet there's so much pain

Everything I wanna do, oh baby

I didn't want to hurt you
If you take me back again
I'll do everything that I can to make you happy

I'm gonna make you happy

Everything I wanna do, oh baby
I wanna do with you, oh baby

Oh my little baby
I didn't realize when you're mine
How much I love you and what you really meant to me
How far must from that very soul
That is you I wanna hold
I'll Make You Happy

I Know I'll Make You Happy This Time Baby

Tams - Hey Girl Don't Bother Me

Hey Girl Don't Bother Me
Stay away girl, go away come back another day
Hey Girl Don't Bother Me

I heard about you from my friends
What really gets so long
They say you broke the heart
Of every boy in town

They say you like to cheat
They say you're just a little flirt
And if I fall for you
I'm surely gonna get hurt OK

Hey Girl Don't Bother Me
Stay out of my arms
Don't try to use your charms

But I really got to say
You look so fine
And you're also hard to resist
But I know i gotta stay away
'Cause I might fall for you
And I don't want to be added to your list OK

Hey Girl Don't Bother Me
Afraid if I kissed you, I might not resist you

http://www.box.net/shared/x7bogazo2b

Released in 1964, was a regional hit in the U.S before it topped the UK charts in 1971 thanks to the northern soul scene. Maybe the only one number one single connected to the northern. One of the Tams forgot his dance steps during Top Of The Pops. You can find some reggae covers of "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me" on youtube.

Clydie King - Soft And Gentle Ways

* Imperial 66172, "He Always Comes Back To Me" / "Soft And Gentle Ways" (1966)

Don't use your gentle ways to make me do the things I know I shouldn't do
Don't use your gentle ways to make me think the lies you're telling me are true
When you whisper gently to me you know how the suffer makes me feel
But I've heard about that before and baby I know your love just unreal

Don't use your burning kiss to start a fire in me I know I can't control
Don't use your misty eyes cause I won't fall again I've seen those tears before
But if you can prove me at all the love you have to offer me is true
I would gladly give in to the love and soft and gentle ways of you

Don't think your gentle ways can just erase the feelin' I have of loving you
Those soft spoken words are empty sounds there's nothing you can do
But if you can prove me at all the love you have to offer me is true
I would gladly give in to the love and soft and gentle ways of you

Don't use your gentle ways, Don't use your gentle ways...

Landa, 703 - "Get Out (And Let Me Cry)" / "You May Not Love Me" (1965) Lead Vocal By John Atkins

I've heard a lot about you
Your new boyfriend couldn't wait to tell me huh
That you and I are through

What I am supposed to do
Don't stand here and look silly...

If what he said is true
I own (allow) all the best for you
Couldn't look just to see me cry so...

So I'll tell you what you'd better do

Velvet Hammer - Happy

Soozi 112 "Happy" / "Party Hardy" (1977)

I call her Happy
She makes me feel that way when I come home at night
She puts her arms around me, she kisses and hugs me makes everything allright

And everynight in my room
I can smell her sweet perfume
And it's happy, Happy All My Life

I call her Joy
'cause she travels through the world of a lonely boy
Joy everynight 'cause she knows how to squeeze me and make me feel right

And everynight in my room
I can smell her sweet perfume
And it's joy, Joy all my life

I call her Pleasure
'cause the loving she's giving you, just can't measure
I call her sweetness 'cause when I look at her eyes I can see my weakness

And everynight in my room
I can smell her sweet perfume
It's pleasure, pleasure all my life

She really makes me happy
in the evening

with the pleasure
that you give me
make me happy
Happy in my life
Joy in the world

Sweet of the Sweet
She's the pearl of the girl

You say that you leave me underneath baby don't need me
But baby you didn't have to do what you've done behind my back
With someone on you who holdin' a kissin'
Just the way we used to love
You say you realized the stretch you made
I keep trying to hear you baby

You're Just Blowin' My Mind To Pieces
(you just ruinin' my mind so more)
You Keep Blowin' My Mind To Pieces
(you got me hurt like never before)

Hey, you gotta stop baby, hanging up now

Girl, I'm gonna have to put you down
'Cause I'm so tired of being messed around
I've told you a long long time ago
You keep blowin' my mind
I'm gonna have to let you go
I give you everything that I have
You just woudn't let me be your man

Blowing My Mind To Pieces
(I've said I've gotta to get me out this place)
Blowing My Mind To Pieces
(I've said I've gotta to get me back in the rain)

Frankie Valli - You're Ready Now

Smash, 2037 - "You're Ready Now" / "Cry For Me" (1966)

When I met you, you were too young
To hang around where the groupies hung
To swing and dance where the swingers swung

You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now...

You grew up fast like over-night
You sure have changed, girl, you're out of sight
You wanna swing and dance all night

You pick up quick, I knew you would
You move and groove just the way you should
You've got that feel, you're learnin' good

Come on near me, come on baby
Do you hear me ? Yes I hear you

You've got it girl, you've got that talk
You've got that wiggle in the way you walk
You've got, I see, what gets to me

You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now, You're Ready Now...

* General American, 006 "Nothing Can Compare To You" / "Up To The Rooftop" (1965)

I can't compare you to the stars,
There's no flowers as pretty as you are,

If somebody try, it'll be a fool
How you shine your own way, turn my darkness (...) today

R.I.P Eddie Bo 1930-2009

(Smokey & Eddie)

New Orleans R&B, early funk (one of the precursors like Willie Tee who put the funk into New Orleans map), singer, arranger, producer, pianist, great lyricist too ("You'd better check that spinach / Olive's in the danger zone" "Check Mr. Popeye" 1961)... Eddie Bo passed away and I'm completely screwed.

Dana Valery - You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies

* Columbia, 44004 (1967)

You can hear Paul Simon singing the small part "You don't begin to comprehend".

You don't know that you love me
You don't know but I know that you do
You may think you're above me
What you think isn't always true

Don't try to debate me
You should know that I'm womanly wise
Still you try to manipulate me
You don't know where your interest lies

You don't know where your interest lies
You don't begin to comprehend

You're just a game I like to play
You may think that we're friends all right
But I won't let friendship get in my way
I won't let friendship get in my way

You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies

Chi-Lites - 24 Hours of Sadness

* Brunswick 55426, "24 Hours Of Sadness" / "You're No Longer Part Of My Heart" (1970)

24 hours of sadness, since my baby's been missing
24 hours of madness, all I need is just a kiss

Wish I knew just where I can find her
She don't know love she left behind her

24 hours of teardrops since my baby's been missing
24 hours of heartbreak, all I need is just a kiss

How can I live without her
She don't know love she left behind her

24 hours of sorrow, oh maybe tomorrow
24 hours of breathing, all I need is just a kiss

She don't know love she left behind her
Wish I could, Wish I could remind her

Tobi Legend - Time Will Pass You By

Tobi Legend - Time Will Pass You By

Passing seasons over fade away
Into misty clouds of autumn grey
As I sit here looking at the street
Little figures quickly moving feet

I'm just a pebble on the beach and I
Sit and wonder why
Little people running around
Never knowing why

Life is just a precious minute baby
Open up your eyes and see it baby
Give yourself a better chance
Because time will pass you right on by

This big old world is spinning like a top
Come and help me pal and make it stop
All you have to do is live for now
Come along with me and I'll show you how

Take my hand I'll show you how to live
Why wait until tomorrow?
Take my hand I'll lead the way
To a brighter day

Jimmy Radcliffe - Long After Tonigh Is All Over (composed by David-Bacharach)

Musicor, 1042 (1964)

Tonight with you for the first time
I have learned what my lips are for
And darling now that I've kissed you
I'm craving to kiss you more
Let me tell you...

Long after tonight is all over
Long after tonight is all gone
I'll be yours, for ever and a day I'm yours,
come anything that may
You'll always be just everything to me

Here in my arms when I hold you
I can feel that the world is mine
Don't go away, don't you leave me
Or I'll cry til' the end of time
Let me tell you...

Long after tonight is all over
Long after it's all gone
I'll be yours
Come anything that may and I'm yours for ever and a day
Youll always be just everything to me

Garnet Mimms - Looking For You

Garnet Mimms - Looking For You

* United Artists, 951 (1965)

Looking For You... Everywhere !

I miss the touch of your fingertips
The burnin' fire of your sweet lips
How can I go on like this, baby I need you

Since the day you left me
I'm findin' lonely memory
Make it how it used to be

I stop in places we used to go
Ask if they've seen you, well nobody knows
I look for you up and down the street

That's why I'm Looking For You... Everywhere !

There's a pain inside me
Cause' I need you so desperately
I want more than memories

Patti Austin - Loosen Up Your Heart

Loosen Up Your Heart & let me love you

Hey little blue boy, stop your sighing

You're much too handsome to be crying

The world's not coming to an end

You're about to fall in love again

I know you'd be hurt and so rightly

That another girl took your love so lightly

& now you say in love's a game

But every girl is not the same

Just like your love let me down

And so I know how if feeled to be lonely

Don't you know we needed each other so

And I could show you if you're lonely only

Loosen Up Your Heart
and let me love you

Willie Hightower - Because I Love You

Another song from "Soothers & Movers" on Goldmine (only 2 copies in The Mighty Milky Way & I know these pals). Never bored of this compilation, like the old saying goes : "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Why am I always doin' everything you tell me to do ?
Why am I always going out of my way to please you ?

Why do I let you treat me in the way you desire ?
Never do anything about it, all I have do is sittin' and cryin'

I give up my fortune, I give up my faith
Before I would take a chance of losing you baby
Don't you know I give up anything ?

Why whatever you need me
All I do is cry
That's the way it goes, baby
Here's the reason why

Because I Love You (Because He Loves Her)

Pour une poignée de scènes... #1

Chuck Wood - 7 Days Too Long

(That's the B-Side of "Seven Days Too Long")

First time I called you girl
They say you wasn't home
Then second time I tried it
They say you won't be left alone

We have a lot of quarrels yes we have
Like all lovers do
I'm ready to make up
It's all of left to you now

Seven Days Too Long without you baby
Come on back to me now

I feel so break up because i'm alive
Cause' my love is too strong girl to let it down
The source of problem
Cause I see the danger sign you know
It's ripped on your face
Justice (...)

Let's stop playing girl I go sick
i can't stand being without you baby another week
You got me soured, I can't even concentrate
You know good things come, I say good things come (...)
I can't wait no longer listen to me girl

Dobie Gray - Out On The Floor

Out on the floor each night, I'm really movin'
The band's is wailin' right i feel like groovin'
The chicks are out of sight and i am grooving
The crowd is in tonight beggin' for more

I am on the floor tonight, I feel like singin
The beat is running right and guitars are ringin'
I'm really on tonight and everything swingin'
The room is packed out tight, light at the door

I Get My Kicks Out On The Floor

When I'm out on the floor, it makes me feel like a king,
Everybody here, don't you know what I mean
It makes me wanna move (makes me wanna move).
It makes me feel that groove (make me feel that groove).
I wanna twist and shout (makes me twist and shout).
Work it on out (make me work it on out)

The World's Forgotten Boy Died (& Nobody Cares...)

R.I.P Ron Asheton July 1948 - January 2009

Like "1969" said :
"It's 1969 Baby, War Across The U.S.A
It's Another Year For Me & You
Another Year With Nothing To Do... "

Nothing Change. Yes We Can, That is nothing but bullshit.
